Wow, I really like the knocked-out thin linework. Good idea to keep it dark around the eyes to bring them out... gives the characters a lot of focus and definition. Really nice!
I'm on the fence about the knocked-out linework. I like it in theory, but I also think the drawings look clearer and more defined with the original black outline. Maybe if the color choices had more contrast? I'll need to play with the style a bit.
In any case, I'm happy with the designs & body language on these. I imagine them as characters in a kids' chapter book or something.
